So, we’re not giving up. How could we! Even though on the outside it often looks like things are falling apart on us, on the inside, where God is making new life, not a day goes by without his unfolding grace. These hard times are small potatoes compared to the coming good times; the lavish celebration prepared for us. There’s far more here than meets the eye. The things we see now are here today, gone tomorrow. But the things we can’t see now will last forever.
I remember an old song sung by James Cleveland, No Ways Tired. I loved this song.
I don't feel No Ways Tired. I've come too far from where I started it from. Nobody told me the road would be easy. I don't believe He brought me this far to leave me.
But honestly Lord I am tired, not just tired but Tiiiii'ed. Have you ever gotten to the point you feel like you are not going to make it? Seems like everything you worked so hard for just went out the window? You are exhausted just trying to figure it out? Yeah, I know. Believe me, having a person with extra needs at times is really hard and exhausting. When everything seems to be going great, the next thing you know the storm has hit and the bottom has fallen. You just want to run away, hide or give up. WHEW!!!!! HELP LORD!
No matter what it looks like, remember that every storm has an end. God even gave us a rainbow after it rained/stormed for 40 days and 40 nights. The rainbow gives us hope that brighter days are coming, and the storms or rains will not last always. That our tiredness, weeping, frustration and despair is only for a moment. Yep, this too shall pass.
You may be tired, you may be weak, you may feel defeated, but you can't give up now. Mary, Mary's rendition of No Ways Tired better reflects the feeling we should have in remembering that God is our strength, our refuge and our present help. So, let's sing -
